- Provides guidance and expertise in the planning, design, and implementation of network strategy for the company and/or client(s).
- Leads various network projects and provides network design options in multi-platform, multi-protocol environments.
- Leverages knowledge of infrastructure analysis, capacity planning, and product analysis and develops cost/business case justifications. Installs, configures, tests, maintains, troubleshoots, and tunes network infrastructure (i.e., routers, switches,gateways, firewall systems, premise distribution, voice/video systems, and security systems).
- Provides technical leadership for network problem escalation and resolution.
- Performs system capacity planning to ensure appropriate growth and evolution of systems.
- Develops and coordinates plans for periodic penetration testing of all applications and network elements for adherence to regulations.
